Getting married in the UK this year and mulling a date? If you are thinking about 27 July, get those invites out early as it’s highly likely your loved ones and friends will be attending wedding nuptials that day! According to the experts at nodeposit365.co.uk it’s the most popular day of the year to say, ‘I do’.

The online casino directory analysed wedding data between 2018 and 2020 from the Office of National Statistics and discovered that although 27 July is the most popular date (5,478 in the three-year period), August is the most popular month to get hitched for life (see chart below).

There are so many reasons to get married in the summer in the UK, and at the top of the list is the sun, warmth and length of days.

24 August is the second most popular date with 5,386 weddings between 2018 and 2020.

Rounding out the top three is 3 August with 5,284 weddings.

And what are the least popular days to get married? Christmas and Boxing Day so you know what days not to book!
